Published Aug 22, 2022 6:21 pm

August is an exciting month for 27 million Filipino students. After being cooped up in the four walls of their bedroom attending online classes for two whole years, they will now be able to socialize with their classmates and meet their teachers in the flesh now that schools have finally reopened.

But as the 2022-2023 school year kicks off, some parents were excited while others were emotional about sending their kids back to school.

With that said, we have gathered a list of celebrity moms who have shared some of the most adorable photos and videos of their children’s long-awaited milestone.

Anne Curtis Smith with Dahlia Amélie Heussaff

It feels like it was just yesterday when actress and host Anne Curtis and restaurateur-slash-content creator Erwan Heussaff welcomed Dahlia Amélie to the world.

Dahlia is now two years old, and her mom just posted an Instagram reel of her first day—from getting dressed to sending her off to school. Little Dahlia even got a cute stamp on the back of her hand, proving that she got her mom's and dad's wit.

Judy Ann Santos with Luna Agoncillo

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo’s third child, who they fondly refer to as Little Bunny, has already had her first day of classes on August 2.

In the caption, Santos said that she even felt separation anxiety bringing the six-year-old to school but happy and excited at the same time.

"First day of school for our little bunny.. first day for all of us after 2 1/2 years of online schooling … nakaka sepanx ng sobra," Santos wrote. "But.. im happy and excited for all the kids to be able to attend classes with a bit of normalcy," she added.

In the pictures that Santos posted, Luna can be seen carrying her colorful backpack and lunchbag. Her older brother, Lucho, even helped with carrying a box container of her younger sister’s school supplies.

Bianca Gonzalez Intal with Lucia Intal

Luna Agoncillo’s first day of classes also coincided with Lucia Intal’s first day.

Lucia’s mom and TV host Bianca Gonzalez Intal captioned her post, “First day in first grade,” including a series of photos walking her eldest daughter to school.

Lucia wore a casual outfit with a light pink rainbow shirt with a black skirt, she brought a unicorn-like backpack with a fushia pink lunch bag. Accompanying the mother and daughter is Gonzalez’s husband former professional basketball player, JC Intal. They also have a second daughter named Carmen.

On August 16, Gonzalez even posted a photo dump of Lucia’s first two weeks of school.

Andi Manzano-Reyes with Olivia Manzano Reyes

Another cutie we have seen grow up before our eyes is former TV personality and current content creator Andi Manzano-Reyes and husband GP Reyes’s first-born daughter, Olivia Manzano Reyes.

On August 11, Manzano-Reyes shared a series of photos with Olivia in her school uniform as a Grade 2 student, complete with a matching baby blue backpack and lunch bag. What’s even more adorable is a photo of her younger sister, Amelia, crying and hugging her older sister in uniform.

In the caption, Manzano-Reyes said that her second-born even said, “[A]te is leaving me.”

Cheska Garcia Kramer with Kendra Kramer

After four years of being homeschooled, Kendra Kramer is now attending physical classes, according to her mom and content creator Cheska Garcia Kramer.

On August 8, the actress wrote that it would be strange to not have Kendra in their classroom but added that she is excited to see her bloom in her new journey.

"There is so much to look forward to and we will always be here to support you in this new journey. It's gonna be fun, @kramer.kendra!😊❤️ I promise!" she said.

Nikki Valdez Garcia with Olivia Ysabelle

On Aug. 15, actress Nikki Valdez Garcia reminisced the moment when she dropped off daughter Olivia at the nursery.

Valdez expressed a mix of emotions stating that she feels nervous and excited for her now eighth grader.

"I am nervous and excited just like you are specially everything starting today will be new to you," the actress wrote.

Olivia smiled shyly as she posed for a picture wearing a white polo shirt, and pants. She is also wearing a plain white backpack and holding onto a black water bottle.
