Sharon Cuneta hopes her children's spouses would live in her 'Mega' mansion

It looks like Sharon Cuneta's new mansion isn't just earthquake-proof, but it's also big enough to house her future family members.

During a roundtable interview with reporters, the Megastar had a chance to share an update regarding the "forever home" she is building that she touts could withstand an intensity 9 or 10 earthquake.

The mansion, which Sharon has been building since 2020, is now "more than halfway through" and would include features such as a large garden and a spacious dressing room.

"I have a garden that’s super big, so if I decided to build there, then I will. Maybe someday it will be for the girls, but it's a big house so you can do so much inside," she said.

According to her, it's even big enough to fit her children's families in the future.

"I’m praying that when Frankie and Miel get married, the spouses would agree to live there. Otherwise, Miguel has to bring his wife and play bowling inside the house! Mag-skating sila doon!” Sharon said.

"I have a big bedroom because I want all my children and grandchildren to fit. They sleep with us when they can and still do," she added.

The actress also decided to include a room for her eldest daughter KC Concepcion, who recently returned to the Philippines after spending a significant time abroad. However, Sharon said that KC might not use her room so she would "probably use it for something else."

The local star revealed that her mansion is being built in the south, having bought the lot while they were living in Boston. Before this, she had a rest house on the property, but her children loved the area so much that she decided to make it their new home-sweet-home.

"That was just really a weekend house. It could not hold all of our things. I did even have a dressing room, very tiny, like closets lang. I demolished that house because my kids love the area already. So instead of selling and getting a new lot, no, my kids love this particular lot,” she explained.

"So, I demolished it and we’re building our forever home there, which is why I sold my Wack-Wack home, which I bought before I married Kiko," she continued.

Sharon made public the construction of her house in July 2020. She detailed in a previous post that the total floor area of their home will be about 2,300 square meters built across five lots.
