Zayn Malik cancels upcoming 'Konnakol' tour in US
Zayn Malik announced the cancelation of the American leg of his "Konnakol Tour."
While his scheduled performances in Europe and Mexico over the next two months will proceed, Malik announced on social media that all US arena dates are officially off the calendar.
“To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I’ve felt it, and it’s meant the world. I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before,” Malik wrote in an Instagram story.
“I’ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour. I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z.”
According to his tour website, Malik will still be performing in some international countries, except in the US.
"All current tickets will remain valid for the new Manchester date. For other shows, if you purchased through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically," they wrote. Those who purchaed tickets through a third-party reseller should reach out to their point of purchase.
This comes just two weeks following a hospitalization for an unspecified illness last month.
In 2024, he also postponed the US leg of his "Stairway to the Sky" tour after his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne died.
