'You have to be willing to risk everything': Ely Buendia writes a sincere message about healing

Days after Eraserheads' successful concert, Ely Buendia imparted a lesson on navigating life's transitional moments.

The singer-songwriter wrote how "the real lessons"—the tough, happy and baffling ones—begin after graduation.

“The best thing you can hope for is to somehow be able to grasp them in a short amount of time,” he wrote.

Beundia said that the whole band and the team behind the "Eraserheads Huling El Bimbo" concert are "still trying to grasp the last three months leading up to the finals."

The OPM legend added: “Sometimes it feels like there are more questions than answers. But fear not, this isn’t doubt. This is certainty.”

For his part, the lead vocalist said he learned that healing only starts within oneself.

“You have to really want it, and most of the time, willing to work for it," he said.

"Sometimes you have to be willing to risk everything. And if you are, who knows? Maybe you might get lucky and you can leave this place a little better when you found it.”

Buendia, together with his bandmates Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, held their long-awaited reunion concert last Thursday, Dec. 22 at the SMDC Festival Grounds.
