#PrivacyforWongFamily was the outcry of Deanna Wong’s concerned fans after hardcore volleyball stans waited for hours outside the star athlete’s house in Minglanilla, Cebu.

The 24-year-old athlete, who is the ace setter of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans at the Premier Volleyball League, went home to Cebu during the Holy Week. But a crowd of unexpected guests figured in the much-deserved break of the star athlete.

On Good Friday, Feb. 15, Wong’s mother posted a short clip showing a crowd of fans gathered outside their gate.

“Unsaon namug gawas pag adto sa simbahan kung ing ani kadaghan nag atang pirmi sa gate? Ang uban gikan pag mindanao ug other parts of the visayas.. uban alas sais pa sa buntag (How can we go out to church if these many people are waiting outside our gate. Others even came from Mindanao and other parts of Visayas since 6 a.m),” Deanna’s mother posted the video with a Cebuano caption.

Despite being seemingly stunned by their visitors, Deanna still indulged her fans for a bit as she waved to the crowd as shown in the viral video, much to the delight of her fans.

After the incident, the hashtag  #PrivacyForWongFamily trended on Twitter.

A number of fans likewise trooped to the Wong family's newly opened sari-sari store.

Wong was a part of the Ateneo De Manila Lady Eagles from 2016 to 2020. She won the Best Setter Award in UAAP’s 80th season in 2018. During her UAAP stint, Ateneo won the championship in 2019 after runner-up finishes in 2016 and 2017.

Wong is set play a live volleyball game tonight, April 18, at the Minglanilla Sports Complex.
