To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a series of major events has been organized, headlined by a star-studded concert and a Holy Mass.

The Mayors for Good Governance and Kaya Natin! Movement are spearheading a concert titled “Awit at Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon” on Feb. 21 at Quezon Memorial Circle.

Expected to perform are Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Rivermaya, Ice Seguerra, Ebe Dancel, Pio Balbuena, Morobeats, Elmo and Arkin Magalona, Chelsea Alley, and Over October.

Joining them are Vice Ganda, stand-up comedians Alex Calleja and Red Ollero, as well as actresses Iza Calzado and Bea Binene, and DJ JhaiHo.

Then, on Feb. 22, a Holy Mass and Prayer Rally will take place at the EDSA Shrine at 12 p.m.

The celebrations will culminate on Feb. 25 with simultaneous nationwide events, including the third Trillion Peso March Movement organized by several groups, including church and civil society organizations, youth advocates, Martial Law veterans, and family members of extra-judicial killings.

According to Tindig Pilipinas, the organizers of the third installment of Trillion Peso March are calling for the government to pass the Anti-Dynasty Law, Party-List Reform Law, and other systemic reforms; prosecute all the main perpetrators of the flood control scandal; and recover ill-gotten wealth from all plunderers.

It also urges to hand down justice for past and present victims of human rights abuses, form a truth commission and ensure reparations for extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration, and counter historical revisionism about martial law.
