Weekend Hangs: Ben&Ben and 'Moana' concert, Shakespeare in the Park, and more events to check out this Oct. 2-4

It's officially October, which means it's time to set your weekend plans! If you've been looking for a reason to head out, Metro Manila has a full lineup of events waiting for you. 

From massive arena concerts and open-air theater under the city lights to anime conventions, one weekend is not enough for all these happenings! 

​Here is your guide to what’s happening this Oct. 2-4. 

Oct. 2: Ben&Ben: Saranggola, The Concert 

Ben&Ben is taking over the big stage for a massive, one-night-only arena experience! Note for all Liwanags and fans: Tickets for the concert are officially sold out across all tiers. However, fans who missed out on the initial sale can keep an eye on TicketNet for potential last-minute production hold releases on show day, or monitor official sponsor giveaways. 

Gates open early at 3:00 p.m. for VVIP and VIP Soundcheck ticket holders, while general gates open at 5:00 p.m. alongside official merchandise booths, partner stalls (Panlipi and Tala by Kyla), and the Saranggola Exhibit. Note that the show starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. without an opening act. 

Ticket prices are set at P1,500 for General Admission, P3,000 for Upper Box, P5,000 for Lower Box, P6,500 for Patron B, P7,500 for Patron A, P9,000 for VIP (inclusive of Soundcheck Experience), and P10,000 for VVIP (inclusive of Soundcheck Experience and VVIP Merch Package). 

Make sure to bring a valid ID and your printed or digital ticket ready for scanning, as a strict no re-entry policy applies. Professional cameras, outside food or drinks, umbrellas, and large bags are strictly prohibited inside.

The show takes place on Oct. 2 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

​Oct. 3-4: Moana film concert
 

Get ready for an incredible musical experience as Film Concerts PH brings Disney's Moana to life! 

The upcoming show will treat audiences to the full animated movie on a huge screen with a live orchestra performing the original soundtrack produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foa'i.

Expect to hear fan favorites including How Far I'll Go and You're Welcome, with special guest performers Janella Salvador and Gian Magdangal singing the tunes live.

​Shows run on Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4, with 2:00 p.m. matinees and 7:30 p.m. evening performances at The Theatre at Solaire, Entertainment City, Parañaque. Tickets start at P2,000 via TicketWorld. 

Oct. 3-4: Momzilla Fair 2026 

​Calling all parents, moms-to-be, and families!  

Momzilla Fair returns to Taguig, bringing together over 200 must-have brands with massive discounts up to 70% off.

Shoppers can explore baby gear, maternity wear, feeding essentials, and nursery decor while enjoying family-friendly amenities, including the Milk Easy Breastfeeding Lounge for nursing mothers, the BooBoo Proof Kids Village soft-play area by The Inflatables, and growth mindset sensory play at the Kaleidoscope Kids Activity Area.  

The fair will also host insightful parenting talks by The Parenting Emporium, featuring Dr. Kaori Togezaki-Lobendino speaking on newborn care (2:00 p.m.) and breastfeeding basics (3:30 p.m.) on Oct. 3, as well as Tina Rodriguez discussing "mommy burnout" (2:00 p.m.) and intentional parenting (3:00 p.m.) on Oct. 4. 

The fair will take place at the SMX Convention Center Aura, SM Aura Premier, BGC, Taguig City. The entrance fee is P100 per person. You can also get a ticket online.

Oct. 2-4 Shakespeare in the Park: Macbeth 2026 

This year’s Shakespeare in the Park is bringing the iconic Macbeth to Makati.

Directed by Nelsito Gomez, this streamlined open-air show stars Tarek El Tayech in the title role alongside Philippine theater legend Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, making her Shakespeare production debut as Lady Macbeth. The ensemble cast includes Cholo Ledesma, Topper Fabregas, Altair Alonso, Dippy Arceo, and Gomez himself.

It is set up like an evening picnic, so bring your own blanket, mats, and snacks to enjoy live drama on the grass under the stars.

Admission is completely free (donations are strongly encouraged) with no tickets required, but arriving early is recommended to grab a good spot before the lawn fills up.

Shows start at 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 2 and 3 at Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati, before moving to Circuit Park, Circuit Makati on Oct. 4. 

Oct. 1-5: 26th BAHANDI Eastern Visayas Trade Fair 

Celebrate Visayan heritage, local flavors, and regional craftsmanship as the Department of Trade and Industry - Region 8 brings the 26th edition of the BAHANDI Eastern Visayas Trade Fair straight to Metro Manila!

BAHANDI, a Waray word meaning "treasure," gathers 96 micro, small, and medium enterprises from Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar to showcase the best of the region. Visitors looking to kick off their holiday shopping early can discover a rich selection of handwoven fashion, home crafts, furniture, and culinary heritage.

Featured Leyte MSMEs include Lolo Bobby Handicrafts (handcrafted accessories), Nutri Bee Food Products (locally made canton, odong, and misua noodles), EF Winery (traditional Tubahalina coconut palm wine), Glen's Turmeric and Food Products (spiced sinamak and natural vinegars), and Alboco Food Industry (creamy and crunchy peanut butter).

Admission is completely free for all visitors.

The fair runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from Oct. 1 to 5 at Megatrade Hall 1, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. 

​Oct. 2-4: Anthology ASEAN Architecture Festival 2026 

Design enthusiasts, architects, and students can gather in Manila's historic walled city for a three-day celebration of Southeast Asian architecture and urban design!

With the theme "Shared Ground: Architecture of Care, Culture, Collective Futures," the annual Anthology Festival highlights how building design and urban planning shape our everyday lives. Set against the historic backdrop of Intramuros, the event brings together international architects and local designers for talks, open discussions, design competitions, exhibitions, and interactive installations. 

Across the three days, attendees can catch keynote talks on sustainable urban building design on Friday, panel discussions and heritage walking tours on Saturday, and live workshops and awards on Sunday.

Single-day passes are available on-site for P800 at Centro de Turismo starting at 12:00 p.m., giving day pass holders access to all festival platforms and an exclusive merch kit for that day. 

Full three-day festival passes are priced at P1,500, with group ticket packages available for groups of 3 for P3,000 and groups of 6 for P5,000 available here.

The festival runs daily from Oct. 2 to 4 in Intramuros, Manila.

Oct. 3-4: Card Expo Philippines 2026 

​Trading card collectors, players, and hobbyists can look forward to a full weekend of buying, selling, and trading right in Manila! Card Expo Philippines returns for a three-day community gathering for fans of trading card games (TCGs), pop culture collectibles, and sports cards. 

Spanning both the Ayala Malls Manila Bay activity area and the second-floor railings, the expo offers dozens of vendor booths with rare individual cards, unopened booster packs, graded collectibles, and official merch for games like Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, and more.  

The event also features official promotional artwork created in collaboration with renowned artist Rob Cham, alongside casual card game tournaments and free-play gaming areas. 

Admission is completely free for all visitors; just show up and join the community.

The event runs daily from Oct. 2 to 4 during mall hours at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Parañaque City.

Oct. 2-4: Cosplay Mania 2026: Dazzling Diamond 

Attention anime fans, gamers, and pop culture lovers! The country’s biggest celebration of Japanese pop culture and cosplay is back for three huge days in Pasay. 

​If you’ve never been to Cosplay Mania, it is a massive convention where thousands of fans dress up as their favorite characters from anime, video games, and comics.

Across the event floor, visitors can meet international cosplayers, watch live gaming tournaments, shop for fan art and official merchandise, and enjoy live concert performances by J-pop artists and VTubers.

There are also stage panels, photo spots, and special meet-and-greets throughout the weekend. 

​The event runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Oct. 2 to 4 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
