Jeon Mi Do says ‘Hospital Playlist’ creators promised season 3 within five years
Jeon Mi Do, who plays Song-hwa in Hospital Playlist, said the creators have promised a third season within five years.
In her interview with K-media outlet Woman Donga, the K-drama star shared that the cast is also excited for the third season, which they often talk about in their group chat.
"The director and writer promised, 'We'll do it within five years.' We always talk about it in our group chat. We're all eagerly awaiting it," she said.
She mentioned that the part she’s most excited about is the romantic storyline between her character and Jo Jung Suk's role, saying, "I'm also very curious to see what kind of doctor Song-hwa will be with Ik-jun."
"I hope that if you just trust me and wait a little longer, there will be good news," she added.
Hospital Playlist centers on five doctors in their 40s who have been close friends since their university days and share a love of music as a hobby. The series first aired in March 2020, and its second season followed in June 2021.
It spawned several variety projects tied to Hospital Playlist, including the Three Meals a Day: Doctors village‑living series featuring the cast, as well as a 2025 spin‑off drama titled Resident Playbook, starring Go Youn‑jung, Shin Si‑ah, Kang You‑seok, and Han Ye‑ji.
Apart from playing Song Hwa, Jeon starred in other series, including Thirty-Nine, Connection, and the film The King's Warden.
