This new Vision Express x a.kin line lets you wear stylish specs
Eyeglasses have evolved beyond vision correction into everyday style essentials—on par with watches, bags, and jewelry. This new eyewear collection combines clarity, comfort, and personality in frames designed for daily wear.
Premium optical retailer Vision Express has partnered with indie Filipino eyewear brand a.kin, known for its chic yet playful tinted sunglasses.
Known for blending style and function, a.kin creates modern pieces designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life. With its move into optical eyewear, the brand brings the same thoughtful approach to frames that offer both clarity and style.
Vision Express, which carries international brands like Ray-Ban, Loewe, and Bvlgari, said it also takes pride in supporting local fashion, encouraging Filipinos to explore homegrown brands like a.kin that can stand alongside global labels in quality and design.
“We want more Filipinos to explore local brands that can compete with global players in terms of quality and design, and a.kin exhibits that in a way that’s uniquely theirs," Vision Express President Neelam Gopwani said.
For his part, a.kin owner Anton Medalla said, “As we grow, our intention is to show that a local brand like ours can live naturally within the industry and in daily Filipino life. Partnering with Vision Express is that step forward. The new optical line reflects what we’ve learned from our community. It’s shaped by listening and evolving, while staying grounded in authenticity. That is at the core of a.kin."
The new collection gives a fresh take on familiar styles. It features classic shapes with subtle updates, soft details, and easy-to-wear designs.
It comes in neutral shades like smoke, olive, and sand, paired with layered materials and refined hardware.
