'Tawag ng Tanghalan' alum Jeramie Sanico earns four-chair turn on 'The Voice Australia'
Filipina singer Jeramie Sanico made a strong impression on the coaches of The Voice Australia, earning a rare four-chair turn during the show’s blind auditions.
Sanico, who previously competed on It's Showtime's Tawag ng Tanghalan, returned to the spotlight on the Australian singing competition.
The four-chair turn means Sanico caught the attention of the entire coaching panel, giving her the opportunity to choose which coach she wants to join for the next stage of the competition.
In a Facebook post following her audition, Sanico opened up about returning to television after years away from singing competitions.
“I have not been on TV since Showtime. My last TV competition was 10 years ago,” she wrote, adding that she mostly sang in church after moving to Australia, along with singing casually at home and in front of her children.
Sanico admitted that she was nervous during the audition but said she gave the performance everything she had.
“I’ve poured my whole heart into it. I meant every word of that song,” she said.
She also said she did not expect her decision to pursue singing again in Australia to lead her to The Voice.
“Coming to Australia, I know that I’m gonna have to start all over again when it comes to singing, but I didn’t expect that it will lead me here,” she wrote.
First known as the “Student Belter ng Mindanao” on Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1, Sanico earned a spot as the first semi-finalist in her quarter before stepping back due to personal reasons.
After moving to Australia, she continued making music independently while sharing her journey as a "singing mom" under her married name, Jeramie Sanico Heitmann.
Now, she returns to the big stage for The Voice Australia 2026, performing in front of coaches Ronan Keating, Melanie Chisholm, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Richard Marx.
