'IT: Chapter Two' actor James Ransone dies at 46

James Ransone, known for his roles in IT: Chapter Two and The Wire, has died at age 46.
In a case report, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said Ransone lost his life through suicide on Dec. 19.
After news of his passing, HBO posted on X a photo of him as The Wire's Ziggy Sobotka, captioned "In loving memory of James Ransone."
Production company Blumhouse also gave tribute to Ransone.
"We are saddened by the passing of James Ransone. We are grateful to have worked with him on The Black Phone and Sinister movies. Our thoughts are with his loved ones," they wrote.
Additionally, fellow actors and friends in the entertainment industry paid homage to Ransone, including director Spike Lee and Heated Rivalry's Francois Arnaud.
"Unique actor that I was continuously impressed and inspired by," Arnaud wrote in an Instagram story.
Mya Taylor, Ransone's co-star in Tangerine, shared that the actor's passing hurt her "so bad."
"Such a sweet and funny guy. He helped me deal with fame. He could light up a room with his smile and dimples. So funny and sweet, and he will be missed," she said.
Born on June 2, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland, Ransone studied at the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology and New York's School of Visual Arts.
He portrayed the Ziggy Sobotka ín The Wire and the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak in the horror movie sequel It: Chapter Two.
Ransone is also credited for horror films Sinister, Sinister 2, The Black Phone, Black Phone 2, and the indie comedy-drama Tangerine.
He also appeared on TV series, Law & Order, Generation Kill, Hawaii Five-0, and Poker Face. Ransone's breakout character is Tate in the 2002 teen series Ken Park.
