Francis Libiran respects his craft as much as he adores its Giver. To love his talent is to love God. The premier designer knows that too well. Every time he has a show or in the process of conceiving a collection, he’s on his knees, asking “the Greatest Designer to bless me and to inspire me always.”

While seated on a pew at Christ the King church in Greenmeadows, his attention was caught by the intricate folding of the palaspas (palm frond) in his hand. While waiting for the Palm Sunday Mass to start, Francis already had an idea of how to compose his collection for his bridal show in Harbin, his sixth appearance at the “Ice City” in northeast China.

Libiran’s “Adoración” collection is about timeless romance with contemporary sophistication.

He named his collection Adoración. “It’s my love and my commitment to my brides to wear my gowns inspired by the love of the divine,” Francis said in a phone interview. In more threads than one, so to speak, his design is his prayer for his muses who wear his creation.

Recently, the opulent Duo Banquet Hall of The Peacock Wedding Hotel, in the historical city of Harbin, was transformed into a sanctuary of style for the world premiere of Adoración, Francis Libiran’s highly anticipated 2026 bridal collection. The Libiran exclusive two-night runway event did more than just showcase 15 new gowns (and five pieces of menswear), it solidified his position as Asia’s leading force in bridal couture, blending regional Filipino craftsmanship with a sophisticated global lens.

Taking its name from the Spanish word for “adoration,” the Adoración collection serves as a profound homage to love in its purest, most enduring form. “For me, it is not just about the wedding day, but the lifelong promise it represents,” he said.

“The collection is a tribute to the sacred beauty of commitment,” Libiran added. “Every piece is designed to honor the woman who wears it— her strength, her elegance, and her story.”

Adoración pushes the boundaries of traditional bridal wear through masterful silhouettes and opulent textures.

Francis’ genius (a merry mix of his creative pursuit and his talent as a licensed architect) turned the runway into a glorious parade of technical brilliance, featuring pieces of handmade fabric sculpture and architectural elements that elevate bridal wear into the realm of fine art.

The palm frond is the inspiration for “Adoración,” a profound homage to love in its purest form.

His Adoración designs—where the creativity and symmetry of a palm frond is an embedded inspiration—are testaments to the brand’s dedication to meticulous, labor-intensive detail and intricate hand embroidery with his seamless marriage of timeless romance and modern sophistication.

Beyond the high-energy glamour of the runway, the fashion show, according to Francis, offered a rare moment of intimacy. Following the show, select clients and partners were invited to an exclusive trunk show. This private setting allowed for personal fittings and up-close viewings, giving guests a chance to experience the weight, texture, and soul of the handmade fabrications firsthand.

With Adoración, which will be presented in Sydney, Australia soon, Francis Libiran has done more than launch a new collection after 27 years in the business.

He has captured the world stage once again, proving that true elegance lies in the details created from the heart.

“When my palm frond was blessed that morning of Palm Sunday, I knew my Adoración collection, even if it was just an idea that day, was also already blessed,” he said.

Francis’ adoration of the divine is shown in the love and respect for the talent he has been given.
