Millie Bobby Brown says she 'feels safe' working with 'Stranger Things' co-star David Harbour amid harassment, bullying claims
Millie Bobby Brown said she "felt safe" working with Stranger Things co-star David Harbour amid reports that she filed a harassment and bullying complaint against the actor.
In an interview with Deadline, the actress was asked about "going to emotional depths with Harbour when Eleven is compromised by what they call 'kryptonite' or the satellite technology that paralyzes her and renders her powers useless."
''Of course, I felt safe," she said. "We've worked together for 10 years. I feel safe working with everyone on the set. Naturally, [we]'ve been doing it for so long."
"We also play father and daughter, so naturally, you have a closer bond than the rest because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially Season 2," she added.
The international star also shared that she has a "great relationship" with Harbour.
“David and I have a great relationship. We work really closely together in the scenes and in preparing for the scenes," she explained. "I really am excited for everyone to see the labor of love and hard work we’ve put into the closure of our relationship and what that looks like, and to give some of the fans."
This goes contrary to previous reports that the two are at odds on the set of the Netflix show's fifth season and that the actress has filed a harassment case against her co-star.
According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old star reportedly filed a harassment and bullying case against the the 50-year-old before they started shooting the last season.
A source claimed that there were "pages and pages of accusations,” and that Harbour faced an internal investigation that "went on for months."
Brown plays Eleven in the hit Netflix horror science fiction series opposite Harbour's Jim Hopper, her character's father figure since Season 1.
Volume 1 of Stranger Things' fifth season premiered on Nov. 26. Its second volume and finale will be released on Dec. 5 and Dec. 31, respectively.
