Yeng Constantino apologized after Ryan Bang became emotional on It’s Showtime while opening up about their candid moment during her 20th anniversary concert.

During Constantino's Aug. 28 "Biyaheng Bente: 20th Anniversary Concert," she approached Bang in the audience, serenaded him with Sabihin Mo Na, and reminisced about the "almost" romance they shared years ago.

“Yung kay Ryan kasi ang nangyari sa’min sineen-zoned niya ako. Crush na crush kita n'on. Tapos ako yung nanglilibre sa kanya pang-date. E sobrang gusto ko siya. Pumunta ka lang sa restaurant, ako na bahala sa’yo kasi crush kita eh,” she revealed during the concert. “Pero sobrang thank you na nilinaw mo rin ang istorya natin kasi that gave me a context na di naman pala ako pangit, na nagustuhan mo pa rin pala ako but it was not the right time.”

The moment struck a chord with Bang, who broke down during the Sept. 2 episode of It's Showtime in a clip that quickly went viral.

"Mami, makakahanap kaya ako?” he tearfully said to Vice Ganda after thanking her for bringing him to the concert. “Siyempre, tulad ni Yeng na nung umpisa ko, wala akong pangbayad ng date. Wala akong kotse. 'Di ba wala akong pera. Paulit-ulit yung damit ko, pero minahal...may chance pala ako sa kaniya," he added.

In an interview with 24 Oras' Chika Minute on Friday, the OPM star shared that she also teared up when she watched Ryan get emotional during the noontime show.

“Ako po’y naiyak din nang makita kong umiyak si Ryan. Kasama ko po yung asawa ko. Sabi ko, ‘Love, umiyak si Ryan kanina. Nalulungkot ako,'" she shared.

Yeng extended her apologies to Bang, admitting that she had been "reckless" at the moment.

“Ryan, sorry talaga. Pasensiya na kung nagawa ko ‘yon. Salamat sa reply mo sa akin for being vulnerable, and being so gracious sa pagiging reckless ko,” she said. “I know na na-mend naman yung… kung ano mang friendship tayo ngayon, sana mas maging ok pa tayo in the future. [You] know that I didn’t mean to hurt you,” she added.

In a separate interview, Constantino also expressed her hopes that Ryan would find his match, emphasizing that he should never question his worth.

"He deserves to be loved, to be cared for, to be seen. He deserves all of that. Ako sa side ko, gusto ko po ipag-pray siya to meet that person na kaya ring ibigay yung kaya niyang ibigay. Grabe kasi yung capacity ni Ryan to love. Napakalaki ng puso niya. As in grabe siya magmahal talaga,” the singer said.

She also admitted that she had been too playful and failed to consider Bang's feelings, which unintentionally brought back painful memories for him.

“I was being playful at nagtralalala in life. Hindi ko po alam ang aking naging action na nag-cause na nag-ungkat ng mga sugat. I’m really regretful din in a way na siyempre nakita ko yung tao na may mga naalala na masakit sa kaniya so ako parang nagbibiro ako tapos ganito pala. Playful ako masyado na hindi ako nakapagisip nang maayos to consider his feelings,” Constantino expressed.

Yeng and Ryan's past

In a January 2022 episode of It’s Showtime, Bang said he stopped courting Constantino in 2010 because he initially thought she didn’t feel the same way.

“Kasi for the past 12 years, na akala ko wala akong pag-asa, akala ko ayaw mo sa akin. Kaya ako naduwag sa sarili ko...hindi ko napanindigan 'yung nararamdaman ko sa 'yo," he said at the time, adding that he thought Constantino was with someone else, which the latter clarified was just her best friend.

“Kung hindi ako naduwag noon, kung pinush ko yung naramdaman ko sa’yo noon, baka hanggang ngayon, tayo pa rin. 'Di ba? Hindi natin alam e," he added.

He also recalled feeling embarrassed then when he had no car and could not afford to treat Constantino's family to dinner.

"Gusto kong mag-sorry sa 'yo na hindi ko akalain na may pag-asa pala ako sa 'yo," he told her at the time.

Constantino has been married to Yan Asuncion for 11 years, while Bang confirmed in June that his engagement to Paola Huyong had been called off.
