Where is it cheaper to get the new iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Duo: US, Hong Kong, Singapore, or Philippines?
Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone lineup, and if you're already thinking about getting one, you might be wondering: Is it cheaper to buy the new iPhone here in the Philippines or abroad?
The company introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on Sept. 9, while its first foldable iPhone Duo is set to arrive later this year. The Pro models boast a variable aperture camera for pro-level photos and smarter Siri. Meanwhile, the iPhone Duo is a 5.4-inch passport-sized device that unfolds into a 7.6-inch phone.
Apple has also revealed the prices for the devices, but they aren't the same everywhere.
PhilSTAR L!fe checked the prices listed on Apple's official online stores in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines to see how much the new iPhones cost in each market.
iPhone 18 Pro
The iPhone 18 Pro (256GB) starts at US$1,199 in the US, while it's listed at HK$10,499 in Hong Kong, S$1,899 in Singapore, and P94,990 in the Philippines.
Here's how the prices compare across its four storage options:
iPhone 18 Pro Max
For the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max, the 256GB model starts at US$1,299 in the US. It costs HK$11,499 in Hong Kong, S$2,099 in Singapore, and P99,990 in the Philippines.

iPhone Duo
Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Duo, starts at US$1,999 in the US. In other markets, its 256GB model is priced at HK$17,499 in Hong Kong, S$3,099 in Singapore, and P159,990 in the Philippines.
The Duo will also be available in 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations.
Keep in mind that US Apple prices exclude applicable sales tax, so the final price can vary by state.
Exchange rates can also affect the peso equivalents. Travel expenses, warranties, and regional specifications may further add to the cost, meaning a lower sticker price abroad doesn't always mean greater savings.
For this comparison, L!fe used Apple's official online store prices in each market and did not include travel expenses, taxes, or payment fees.
So where is it the cheapest?
The US has the lowest listed prices among the four markets.
The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro costs roughly P75,000 in the US, compared to about P83,700 in Hong Kong, P93,900 in Singapore, and P94,990 in the Philippines based on Sept. 10 exchange rates.
For the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max, the US price converts to around P81,000, while it costs about P91,700 in Hong Kong and P99,990 in the Philippines. The Philippine price is also lower than Singapore's after conversion.
The price gap is widest for the Duo, which starts at roughly P125,000 in the US, versus about P139,500 in Hong Kong, P153,300 in Singapore, and P159,990 in the Philippines.
