Forget finding the One Piece—this September, fans can start by finding their running shoes as a One Piece-themed fun run is coming to Manila!

RunRio announced that they are set to organize the run on Sept. 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Complex. Runners and anime fans alike can choose from 1K (P1,650), 3K (P1,650), 5K (P1,850), and 10K (P2,150) category distances.

Upon registering, participants will be given an exclusive One Piece Race Kit, which includes an official shirt, a commemorative race bib, and a pirate-themed bandana.

But crossing the finish line is where the real treasure is as you get to bring home a tote bag, towel, and a coveted spinning finisher’s medal featuring an exclusive One Piece design worthy of a pirate king.

To sweeten the experience, RunRio will also have official race-day merchandise available onsite, including iconic straw hats and hoodies.

You can register for the fun run through this link.

More One Piece events

The adventure doesn't stop at SM Mall of Asia as another One Piece fan event is currently taking place at The Block at SM North Edsa.

Happening until Aug. 30, the event is touted to be a "massive first for the country," boasting giant towering inflatables of the legendary giant warriors Dorry and Brogy. It also features the Thousand Sunny ship inflatable for the first time in the country.

Throughout its two-week run, you can get your hands on exclusive, officially licensed One Piece merchandise from featured brands like Toy Kingdom, Miniso, GeekPH, Oxygen, Careline, National Bookstore, Filbars, SM Store, Funko, and Coolectzone.

If you manage to accumulate P3,500 worth of receipts from shopping, you can take home a limited-edition One Piece tote bag, or get the exclusive chopper paper hat for free. But if you'd rather settle for the real thing, there are also meet-and-greet sessions with Tony Tony Chopper from Aug. 21 to 24 and Aug. 28 to 30.

One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young pirate with one big dream: to find the legendary treasure known as the “One Piece” and become the Pirate King.

Created by Japanese manga artist Eiichiro Oda, One Piece first appeared as a manga in 1997 before its anime adaptation premiered in Japan in 1999. Since then, it has grown into one of the world's most popular manga and anime franchises, spanning movies, games, merchandise, live events, and even a Netflix live-action adaptation.
