LRT-2 passengers can now park their vehicles for free at the Santolan Station parking lot starting Monday, April 27.

In an announcement made on Friday, the Department of Transportation said that this initiative aims to help vehicle owners reduce fuel expenses and cut down on travel time by utilizing the train system.

The complimentary parking will be available from 4 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those who wish to avail of the complimentary parking may get a stub from LRTA security personnel at the Santolan Station Parking Area. After the train ride, validate your stub at any LRT-2 Passenger Assistance Office (except in Santolan Station). Present the validated stub to security when exiting the parking area.

This follows the directive of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. to ease the daily commute of Filipinos.

Last March, DOTr also announced that LRT-2 and MRT-3 are offering rides with a 50% discount.

The 50% discount remains in effect for white Beep cards held by senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students; regular blue Beep cards, and single-journey tickets.
