Ai-Ai delas Alas has reacted to her ex-husband Gerald Sibayan’s remarriage, saying she had expected him to eventually tie the knot again.

In a statement shared with Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, delas Alas said she already knew Sibayan would marry someone new after their separation.

“Alam naman natin na mangyayari ’yan. Expected ko na ’yan nung hiniwalayan niya ako,” she said. According to Ogie Diaz’s Showbiz Update, Sibayan has reportedly remarried his non-showbiz girlfriend, Nadine, in the United States.

Despite the news, the actress said she wishes Sibayan well and hopes he treats his new partner differently.

Delas Alas also said she knows little about Sibayan's new wife, except that she speaks English.

“Basta ang alam ko, English-speaking ang babae na pinakasalan niya kasi isang buwan bago ako iniwan ni Gerald, Ingles na rin ang pakikipag-usap niya sa akin,” she said, assuring supporters that she is doing fine following the news.

She also asked fans not to let Sibayan's remarriage affect them as it doesn't bother her anymore. “Matagal na po akong moving forward.”

Delas Alas and Sibayan got married in 2017 after three years of dating. They renewed their wedding vows in the United States in December 2022 and separated in October 2024 after nearly a decade together. Their divorce was finalized in March 2026.
