'Emily in Paris' to end with Season 6
Sad news for Emily in Paris fans...
Netflix confirmed on Thursday, May 21, that the hit comedy-drama will officially end with its upcoming sixth season.
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us," series creator Darren Star said in a statement.
"We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have Emily in Paris!” he concluded.
Lily Collins, who plays Emily in the series, also confirmed the news on Instagram.
"Annnnnd we're back—for the last time. @emilyinparis takes on Greece (and of course France) for one final, epic adventure. Let’s make it the most incredibly special season yet," she captioned her post.
According to Netflix Tudum, the sixth season will film on location in Greece and Monaco in addition to Paris.
Emily in Paris follows the story of Emily, a marketing professional who moved to Paris for a job opportunity. Season 5 was recently released on Dec. 19.
Other cast members include Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Thalia Besson, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque.
