The number of adult Filipinos who are happy with their love life remained at a "record-low" of only 46%, according to the latest findings of the Social Weather Stations.

In a survey conducted from Nov. 24 to 30, 2025, the number of Filipinos happy with their love lives remains at a historic low, stalling at the same level as last year—a figure SWS identifies as the lowest recorded in the 21 years since the study began in 2004.

While the baseline of happiness remained flat, other sentiments shifted; the portion of respondents who feel their love lives "could be happier" rose four points to 40%, while those reporting "no love life" saw a corresponding four-point dip to 14%.

The data further highlights a significant happiness gap among women based on their relationship status, with married women reporting the highest satisfaction at 57%, followed by those in live-in arrangements at 45%, and those without partners trailing at 22%.

For male respondents, happiness with love life stayed highest among those who are married at 55%, followed by those with live-in partners at 50%, and those with no spouse/partner at 28%.

In a separate survey, the SWS found that 43% of adult Filipinos believed that "trust can still be restored in a relationship" after their partner cheats, while 36% said that it cannot.

The report stated that 27% of the respondents claimed that they personally witnessed or experienced some form of cheating in a relationship, and 72% said they have not.

Of those who witnessed the betrayal, 11% identified physical cheating (such as engaging in sexual and intimate activities with someone else), while another 11% identified emotional cheating (such as talking with another person about a problem instead of with one’s own partner, or having romantic feelings for another person even though there is no physical relationship).

The surveys were conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults aged 18 years old and above nationwide, with 13% from Metro Manila, 45% from Luzon outside Metro Manila, 19% from the Visayas, and 23% from Mindanao.
