'Descendants' star Dove Cameron now engaged to singer Damiano David

Actress Dove Cameron is getting married to Måneskin's Damiano David!

The Descendants star announced her engagement with the Italian rock band frontman on an Instagram post on Saturday, January 3. 

"My favourite part of being alive, happy new year," Cameron wrote, flashing her engagement ring.

The announcement follows engagement rumors in October, where Cameron was spotted with a ring on her finger as they were photographed in matching outfits in Australia. 

That same month, Cameron also posted on Instagram about her second anniversary with David.

"The best two years of my life," the Disney actress captioned. "I am brought to tears at least once a week because life has become so beautiful with you in it. i love you in a way no words could ever express, but i will never stop trying. buon anniversario amore mio."

According to E! Online, Cameron and David first crossed paths at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, where the two were nominated.

The two met again in the 2023 iteration of the awards as Cameron accepted an invitation to meet the band.

In February 2024, the pair went out as a couple in a pre-Grammy gala in Beverly Hills.

Cameron starred as the titular Liv and Maddie, a Disney comedy series in 2013. She then played the lead role of Mal in the network's Descendants franchise starting in 2015.
