Philippine Airlines to resume Riyadh flights on Apr. 10
Philippine Airlines has announced that it will resume flights between Manila and Riyadh beginning Friday, April 10.
The airline said the decision comes after recent positive developments in the Middle East region.
"The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our foremost priority. As Riyadh operations resume, PAL will temporarily operate via an alternate flight route to ensure the highest safety standards," the airline said in a Facebook advisory.
Aside from the new route, select Manila-Riyadh flights will include a brief technical stop in Bangkok for refueling.
The airline advised that there will be no deplaning and passengers will remain on board while the aircraft refuels.
"We continue to closely monitor the situation and will restore normal routing and full capacity as conditions allow. Updates will be communicated to affected passengers accordingly," the airline added.
PAL also reminded passengers to confirm their booking before proceeding to the airport.

In March, PAL temporarily suspended flights in select destinations mid the Middle East conflict.
Affected international flights include Riyadh, Doha, Dubai, Guam, and Ho Chi Minh City. Local flights in Siargao, Ozamiz, and Calbayog were also suspended until further notice.
On Wednesday, Apr. 8, U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire as the two countries are in talks to end the conflict.
