Miss Piggy is finally getting the spotlight she deserves, with Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone teaming up to produce her project!

According to Lawrence, who spilled the details on the "Las Culturistas" podcast, a movie about the diva puppet is in early development at Disney.

“I don’t know if I can announce this but I am just going to … Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole is writing it,” she told hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.

Joining the team is Cole Escola, the Tony winner behind the hit Broadway play Oh, Mary!, who is set to write the screenplay.

When asked if Lawrence and Stone, two longtime friends, would star in it, the former said, "I think so. We have to."

Miss Piggy started as a chorus pig on The Muppet Show in the mid-1970s, but her magnetic personality gradually took over the series, propelling her to cultural icon status throughout the late '70s and early '80s.

In 2018, Lawrence launched a production company, Excellent Cadaver, with producing partner Justine Polsky. It has produced both the drama Causeway (2022) and the comedy No Hard Feelings (2023), with Lawrence starring in both projects.
