Imelda Schweighart revealed that she lost her baby while competing in the MGI All Stars 2026 pageant.

The beauty queen made the revelation in an appreciation post for her partner, Rafael Thibult.

“I support your surfing, you support my pageantry. [B]oth are a million-dollar lifestyle, therefore, my adrenaline rush is quenched for a while,” she began, sharing photos of them together, as well as with her son.

Imelda praised Rafael for being a hands-on father who regularly picks up their son, Noah, from school.

“[Can't] wait to marvel at sunsets watching you play. I love you, dummy! Thanks for everything and supporting me from start to finish. From simpler days of just riding in your borrowed motorcycle to building hostels with you. I'm proud to say always you pick up Noah from school and take him home," she continued.

She then opened up about losing their baby during her stint at MGI All Stars 2026.

“Losing our baby might have been the worse out of joining this competition but in God’s timing we will have one again,” she wrote.

Although Schweighart did not provide further details in her post, she recounted in a comment on pageant coach Kervin Lao’s Instagram post what she experienced days before the finals night.

"Dinahan-dahan ko po kasi baka himatayin ako. I saved my energy hanggang dulo. Nairaos pa rin. Kahit na dapat nagpahinga na ako," she recalled.

"Absent ako half day sa rehearsals noon dahil [nag-bleed] ako. Ang sabi ng mga prod magpahinga na muna ako, pero panay sigaw sila sa akin kesyo unprofessional daw. Sinabi ko na galing ako sa ospital, pero dinahilan ko na lang na may vertigo ako, baka kasi hindi nila ako patuluyin. Ang importante natapos ko," she continued.

In another post on Facebook, Imelda shared a copy of the pageant rules and emphasized that it is not in the rules that pregnant women can't join the pageant.

"Wala po sa rules na bawal ang buntis. If we are truly in an era where a transgender woman can place as 2nd runner-up in MGI All Stars, that means we shouldn't just use the word 'motherhood' for clout. We need to actually accept its intricacies and its entire spectrum whether a mother is currently pregnant or not," she emphasized.

"I was obviously in my first trimester. Haven’t you seen my abs? Kidding. My pregnancy test even came back negative, so I honestly thought my dizziness was just from the flights and my hectic schedule," she said, adding that while she wants to stop talking about it, she has to "put a hard stop to people’s malice and ignorance."

Before the MGI All Stars, Imelda was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2016, but later resigned. She was among the five Filipinas who carried the Philippine flag at the pageant. Among them, only Gazini Ganados advanced to the Top 5.

Colombian beauty queen Vanessa Pulgarin clinched the crown.
