K-drama stars Jung Ho Yeon, Lee Dong Hwi break up after 9 years of dating

Squid Game star Jung Ho Yeon and Reply 1988 actor Lee Dong Hwi have called it quits.

The former couple, through their talent agencies, confirmed that they have parted ways after dating for nine years, according to a report by Korean entertainment outlet Soompi on Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The K-drama stars, however, said that they will continue to be good colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Jung and Lee started dating in 2015 but went public with their relationship a year later.

Jung, a runner-up at Korea’s Next Top Model in 2013, made her acting debut in 2021 in the hit Netflix series Squid Game. She was also part of other films and series including Chicken Nugget, The Governesses, and Disclaimer.   

Lee, meanwhile, is known for his role as Ryu Dong Ryong in the K-drama Reply 1988. He likewise appeared in other series and films including The Roundup: Punishment, Chief Detective 1958, and Big Bet, among others.
