Lauren Young now engaged to longtime partner: 'I’m gonna marry my best friend'

Lauren Young is engaged!

On Thursday, Feb. 5, the actress revealed in an Instagram carousel that she's getting married to her longtime boyfriend Toby Panlilio.

“Yes, yes, and yes!!! I’m gonna marry my best friend,” she captioned her post.

Included in the post are photos from their Japan trip. She also gave a look at Panlilio's marriage proposal as well as her engagement ring.

Several celebrities congratulated the couple in the comment section of her post.

"I love you both so much!!!!!" said Young's sister, Megan.

"Omgggg FINALLY yayyyyy," actress Max Collins wrote with heart eyes emojis.

"Love you guys," volleyball star Michele Gumabao also commented.

The actress has long been inactive in show business. Her last acting role was in the 2021 GMA TV series Never Say Goodbye.

The pair has been together for 8 years.

In a 2021 interview with PEP.ph, Young expressed her intent to marry Panlilio, but the COVID pandemic disrupted their plans.

"Alam niya iyan, gusto ko siyang pakasalan," she said. “Kapag puwede nang mag-party, kapag puwede nang maraming tao. 'Yun kasi ang gusto naming wedding. So we’re willing to wait naman for that to happen."
