Designer Boy Kastner Santos, who specializes in custom wear for men and women, says it is important to dress up to go out. “Putting an effort on how you look is a great way to be productive. When you look good, you feel good, and you are more confident to take on the world. I think it’s also important for dads to look after themselves, and paying attention to fashion is one way of doing it.”

It is often hard to shop for dad, but it only takes a little nudge to get him looking fresh out of a ‘dadcore’ catalogue. Santos teams up with fashion stylist Asha Angeles to give some Father’s Day gift suggestions with timeless and functional pieces that can update dad’s classic look.

White sneakers

Majority of the circulating totes are made from canvas, which gives dad a laid-back look, but choosing one that has structured material (such as denim, leather, or nylon) makes him look still easy-going but more polished and professional,” says Angeles.
