Catriona Gray just turned 28!
The former Miss Universe shared new photos and an eight-minute film that were taken at the newly-opened Philippine Metropolitan Theatre to celebrate another year.
According to Gray, who is an Ambassador of Arts and Culture for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Grand Reveal film is a tribute to the Filipino artists and performers that graced the Met stage.
In a teaser, she wrote: "I always get excited at the thought of presenting an aspect of Philippine culture and arts in a creative and modern way. So for my birthday, we're putting on a show! Paying tribute to the Metropolitan Theatre in which so many Filipino artists and performers made a mark for Philippine performing arts."
Wearing a hot pink silk taffeta balloon gown by Al Ray Rosano and feathery headpiece by Miel Avena, Gray posed like a Prima Ballerina, sharing that the Met "was also home to ballet recitals by the Manila Moderne Ballet." According to the shoot's creative director Vince Uy, the singer "perfectly personifies the posied and regal Prima Ballerina."
Gray also paid tribute to Filipina soprano singer Jovita Fuentes and other opera singers who have performed at the Met stage. She wore a sleek gold tube dress with gold headpiece and a voluminous fucshia pink cape for the Opera Enchantress layout.
Following that, she dressed up glamorously in silver couture dress by Neric Beltran with matching fishnet stockings, silk opera gloves, and hat like a true 80s silverscreen goddess.
Gray and her team also celebrated comedians, dancers, acrobats, and magicians who once performed the oldest existing theater after the war. Dressed in fringe and adorned with beads, Gray channeled her inner carnival queen a la Conchita Sunico, former executive director of the Met and a carnival queen.
And finally, as a nod to the Zarzuela Queen Atang de la Rama, Gray wore an embellished terno to the stage and performed like a true thespian.
