‘Extreme Sisters’ find their ‘soulmate’ in a boyfriend they both share
It may be normal for twins to lead similar lives in their own ways, but how about sharing a boyfriend?
In Perth, Australia, there’s a duo having the exact situation. Anna and Lucy of TLC's latest series Extreme Sisters have the same boyfriend named Ben, with whom they sleep in the same bed following a particular arrangement: Lucy on the left, Ben in the middle, and Anna on the right.
Previously, the twins had separate romantic partners. However, things just didn’t work out. “When we had separate partners, they always tried to separate us. It destroyed everything because we never want to be apart. For us sharing a boyfriend, it’s a lot easier for our lives,” Lucy told Fox News.
Fast forward to this day, they're happy that they have found their soulmate. “He hasn’t judged us from day one, and he doesn’t want to change us. This relationship is never boring. It’s so fascinating,” she explained. “Our daily life is challenging, but he never has a problem with how we live our life. There’s never been any jealousy.”
“Whatever he does to Lucy, he does to me right away. We didn’t tell him to do that. He just knows,” added Anna. “If he comes over and hugs Lucy, he comes to hug me straight away. Everything’s equal. He just knows how to do that.”
Want to hear something even more strange? Their desire to live similarly is so strong that they even want to get pregnant together. “If I get pregnant, I would like Anna to be pregnant because we want to experience pregnancy together, so that’s Ben’s job,” Lucy said. It can be difficult, she confessed, but they trust that treatments and new technology could make it all possible.
“We want to live like one person. We need everything to be identical—our clothes, our makeup. I need to follow her wherever she goes so if she walks into the next room, I have to. We have to do the same steps, too,” Anna said.
