Baby gets drunk after mom allegedly fills bottle with alcohol—police
A mom from California was arrested after allegedly giving her baby some alcohol in an attempt to stop it from crying.
According to a FOX News report, the local police San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department found the "drunk" baby after receiving a call past midnight on Aug. 5.
Detailing the incident, the 37-year-old mom named Honesti de la Torre was driving around the city of Rialto, California when she decided to stop and comfort her child who was crying. Authorities, however, said she filled the toddler's bottle with alcohol, which left the baby intoxicated.
The child's current condition is yet to be disclosed, but they were reportedly hospitalized after being rescued by the police. There are also no updates regarding custody as of writing.
De la Torre has been charged with child endangerment on a $60,000 (over P3 million) bond. She is also set to be sent to the West Valley Detention Center.
