A woman from Los Angeles was charged with murder for stabbing her wife to death after having a heated argument.
According to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the 44-year-old suspect, named Weichien Huang, was arrested for the murder of her 47-year-old wife, Chen Chen Fei.
Detailing the incident that happened on July 18 in San Dimas, Los Angeles, the investigators learned that Huang and her wife Fei had an argument inside their residence. Huang later attacked Fei with a sword.
Fei’s mother, who was at the scene, got the sword and sought help in the neighborhood. The authorities saw her walking in the street with numerous cuts and lacerations while holding the sword. She later dropped the alleged weapon after being approached by the police, as seen in a video obtained by ABC7.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. Daniel Vizcarra narrated that Fei’s mom directed the authorities to their residence where they found and pronounced Fei dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Huang was found unharmed but was also transferred to a local hospital due to a medical emergency.
Fei’s mom was also rushed to the hospital for her injuries and is now in stable condition. Huang, meanwhile, was arrested and charged with murder.
One of their neighbors, Trinh Garcia, said that they were “shocked” and “stunned.”
"They were quiet people, they only came out to get the mail, open the garage, take the trash out, other than that, they were quiet people," she told ABC7.
