TRENDING: Netizens debate on the 'best' instant fried noodles on Twitter
Instant noodles is a pretty popular comfort food choice. Not only are they tasty, but they’re cheap and quick to make. Which is why when Twitter User @Mizzimie asked which is better among Lucky Me Pancit Canton and Indomie Mie Goreng, people quickly reacted.
“There can only be one. Who would win?” she asked.
Others picked the local instant fried noodle for its nostalgia, saying they “grew up eating Pancit Canton.” Some even said that they prefer the Chilimansi variant over the Kalamansi variant that was posted in the original post.
“Mi Goreng is so good ngl but I grew up eating Pancit Canton (I prefer Chillimansi tho) so I have to go with it. But sometimes I wonder if I just like eating it because of the nostalgia, I think it's different now than it was before.”
“It’s a tough competition if it’s this flavor,” said one Twitter user, sharing a photo of the Chilimansi variant.
“As a full blooded Filipino id have to go with Pancit canton… HOWEVER not that flavor… I like spice… So Chili Mansi… or even just the Chili one,” said one more, sharing that people should try it with fried egg.
Some Twitter users, went for the Indonesian-favorite Mie Goreng noodles, sharing that most Indonesians don’t eat it as is—they do their own tweaks and create their own recipes.
“Yes it's good, but the possibilities is endless to made Indomie taste godly,” replied @AzathothsWrath.
“Indomie has more complex flavors from that sambal sauce. It's Indomie for me,” explained one more.
But there were others who also shared their personal favorites: Samyang’s Buldak, Yakisoba Spicy Chicken, Payless Pancit Canton Xtra Big, and the Koka Stir-Fry Original.
"Many Filipinos still have not discovered that Payless PC products are just better than Lucky Me," said one netizen.
Based on the tweets, which left both products trending on Twitter, it's still unclear whether Lucky Me Pancit Canton or Indomie Mie Goreng is the "best."
How about you, which one would you pick?
