Even Korean celebrities can’t get enough of the Philippines.

And why would they? The Philippines is home to picturesque beaches, delicious food, and friendly people that will surely make tourists feel at home—even our favorite Korean celebrities.

Whether they’ve visited for a quick R&R or an all-out vacay, many Korean celebs have jetted off to the country for a break from their day-to-day lives. Their travels may have come off as a surprise to fans yet it’s heartwarming to see how much they’ve enjoyed themselves in the same air.

Coron, Palawan

Sandara Park has always been fond of the Philippines even as a member of the global sensation, 2NE1. One of her favorite tourist spots is Coron, Palawan which was featured in an episode of the now-defunct Korean travel series Battle Trip

Dara treated viewers to an all-out Coron getaway as she showed the stunning Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and Mount Tapyas. She even featured the country’s favorite meals like Tapsilog, Tocilog, Pancit Canton, and Bulalo.

Another K-celeb who visited Coron was soloist and former 2NE1 member CL who had Dara as her tour guide, of course.

Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Did you know that Crash Landing On You star Son Yejin visited Puerto Princesa “over a decade ago?”

Yejin revealed during an online fan meeting for Smart that she jetted off to Puerto Princesa for a quiet time with the family. She said her favorite part of the trip was the “friendly faces” of Filipinos and she hopes to visit Boracay in the future.

Boracay

With its white-sand beaches, it’s hard to not fall in love with the splendor of Boracay. And Mamamoo’s Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa can relate. The K-pop idols enjoyed various water activities and raved about their luxurious pool villa in Shangri-La Boracay. Sadly, their bandmate Wheein wasn’t around to join the fun.

Korean TV personalities Boom and Lee Jihye also fell in love with Boracay during an episode of Battle Trip. They were toured around the island by It’s Showtime host Ryan Bang himself, showing the best of what the tropical paradise has to offer. They even partied the night away as they made the most out of the area’s nightclub scene.

Cebu

EXO’s Kai, SHINee’s Taemin, VIXX’s Ravi, and Ha Sungwoon surprised Pinoy fans when they were spotted in Cebu in 2019. The group of pals, also known as “Padding Squad,” brought in the adrenaline rush in their canyoneering adventure in Oslob.

Sungwoon’s travel snaps on the ‘gram also showed Kai enjoying his time in Cebu.

Kai also took to Instagram to share some of his favorite experiences in Cebu such as strolling around the busy streets and bustling malls. He was even spotted stroking a teddy bear in a popular toy chain.

Even heartthrobs Park Bogum and Kwak Dongyeon also traveled to Cebu for a quick getaway. Both actors channeled their inner mermen as they went scuba diving.

After a successful fan meeting with Pinoys in 2019, Happiness actor Park Hyungsik also traveled to Cebu to savor the country’s aquatic beauty.
