There is no doubt that Bulacan is the place to be if you are planning to liven up your summer with a quick escape from all the hubbub in the metro.

With so many resorts and lodges opening again as the country began easing its travel restrictions, Bulacan is the ideal place to unplug, unwind, and commune with nature. 

It bears noting, though, that when it comes to planning a summer getaway, budget plays a key role in everything that goes into your itinerary.

To help you with that, here’s a round-up of Bulacan resorts that you could squeeze into at least a two thousand-peso budget. Even better? All of them are peaceful, serene, and definitely, Instagram-worthy. 

Lawiswis Kawayan Garden Resort & Spa


Lawiswis Kawayan Garden Resort & Spa offers a simple and laid-back retreat away from the city. According to reviews, the tourist center has lush greeneries and a quiet ambiance. This in addition to it being tidy and clean.

Located in the town of Calumpit, Lawiswis Kawayan is ideal for an impromptu getaway with your squad, as a day visit ranges from P800 to P850. It includes meals and access to the pool and cottages. Meanwhile, an overnight stay in its rooms, suites, and villas starts at P3,000 per night.

Big Rock Farm Resort 


Located in Coral na Bato, San Rafael, Bulacan, Big Rock Farm is known for its huge rock formations underneath the soil from which the owner derived the resort’s name.

It's a good choice for a fun family or barkada outing for its main attractions: cave pools and farm landscapes. The place also takes pride in its life-sized animal statues that can bring out the kid in you. It is a place to replenish sanity, especially with its jacuzzi and hanging bridge, among other things.

For a P600 to P1,000 booking fee, you can organize an overnight trip that can accommodate up to seven guests.

San Rafael River Adventure 


San Rafael River Adventure is another great option for its water activities, such as jetski, banana bike, wakeboarding, pedal boat, kayak, and river swing.

You can also try riding an ATV or bike, and go horse-back riding around the vicinity with your barkada. You can also join in the adventure in its infinity pools, swimming falls, as well as floating and inflatable pools. 

A day tour at the resort cost P1,000 per person for those who will rent its basic Kubo cottage and P1,050 per person if you will book its Kubo cottage with bed. 

If you want to spend a little bit more, you can also rent their glass villas with bubble pool that comes with the following fees:

  • Glass Bamboo Hut: P8,000 for day/night tour and P14,000 for an overnight stay
  • Stilt Glass Cottage: P6,000-P8,000 for day/night tour and P10,000-P14,000 for an overnight stay
  • Glass Tree House: P8,000 for day/night tour and P15,000 for an overnight stay
  • Glass Villa: P13,500 for day/night tour and P24,000 for an overnight stay
  • Stilt Glass Cabin: P13,500 for day/night tour and P24,000 for an overnight stay

Royal Woods Beach Resort


If you want an upscale staycation without having to spend a lot, Royal Woods Beach Resort can be your best bet.

Located in Marilao, Bulacan, this resort has infinity pools and plenty of leisure areas, including a gym and karaoke rooms, for family activities and more. In addition, guests can enjoy delectable local and international cuisine served in its restaurant.

El Masfino Hotel and Resort 


El Masfino is a resort within a golf and country club, which you can roam around even on a bike. It also offers sports activities on its basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts.

On days when the weather is nice and sunny, you can bring your picnic basket to and enjoy a family picnic on the grass and enjoy the warm breeze.

A day tour, which only costs P300, is inclusive of a lap and wave pool. You can enjoy a stay in its Cabana for a day rate of P700. But if you want a premium overnight stay, the resort has 16 deluxe rooms and four suites to cater to your needs.

Los Arcos De Hermano 


Found in the lush greens of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Los Arcos De Hermano is a five-hectare resort with lush greeneries, infinity pools, and private suites ideal for family bonding or big events. 

Loved by guests for its child-friendly amenities, this eco-friendly tourist center also has a man-made lake where bangus, hito and tilapia are fed and sheltered. 

Guests who would like to visit Los Arcos De Hermano during the day would have to pay a fee of P1,000 inclusive of access to its cabanas that can accommodate up to 20 persons. 

For overnight stays, the resort offers air-conditioned Standard, Family, and Barkada rooms ranging from P2,800 to P7,000.
