‘Pokémon UNITE’ now available on mobile devices
Good news, trainers! The Pokémon Company's free-to-start MOBA game Pokemon UNITE is now available on Android and iOS devices.
Ahead of its mobile release, The Pokémon Company revealed some of the new updates that are coming to the game, including a cross-platform play for Nintendo Switch owners and a new feature called Unite Squads, which allows players to team up with their friends or search for already-existing squads.
As part of Pokémon UNITE’s mobile release, a new battle pass dubbed as Galactic Ghost 094 (Gengar's Pokédex number) will also be available starting today. The game's second battle pass will bring space-themed items in the game including new space suits for Lucario and Gengar.
Additionally, a new trailer for the game's major update also showed various holowear items for the squad as well as two new Pokémons that are making their debut in Pokémon UNITE: Sylveon and Mamoswine.
Finally, those who missed out on Zeraora as a launch bonus on Nintendo Switch will also have a chance to get the yellow speedster's Unite License through a special mission beginning today.
Meanwhile, in celebration of the game's five million preregistrations, the company said that every player who completes the in-game event in the mobile version of Pokémon UNITE by Oct. 31 will receive 1,000 Aeos tickets, the Unite license for Pikachu, and special Holowear for Pikachu called Festival Style.
The company also teased that should preregistrations reach 7.5 million, players will also receive an additional 1,000 Aeos tickets.
"We’ll continue to add more playable Pokémon and make balance adjustments to both Pokémon and the maps," it said in a new blog post. "Trainers can anticipate new battle passes, themed events, and other compelling content to make Pokémon UNITE even more fun and rewarding. Additionally, we’re developing a new mode of play designed to level the playing field for all Trainers, regardless of their held items’ grades."
