The zombies are out! If you still haven't seen the Kingdom: Ashin of the North spin-off, the lead stars and the people that brought he show to life gave away a peek of what viewers should expect.

Last week, Gianna Jun, Park Beyong-eun, writer Kim Eun-hee, and director Kim Seong-hun joined together for a virtual press conference ahead of the period horror thriller's premiere.

A spin-off of the popular Netflix period horror thriller, Kingdom: Ashin of the North tells the story a girl named Ashin, who was seeking for vengance for the death of her tribe, and the origins of the mysterious plague involving the dead.

Aside from Jun confessing that she is a big fan of the series, she and the rest of the cast shared what their favorite scenes are from the special episode (no spoilers, we promise!).

For writer Kim Eun-hee, it's the last scene with the zombies. "All I'm going to say is that towards the latter part of the special episode. There is a scene with zombies that I'm particularly fond of. It was very tough to write that particular scene and also a scene that I really wanted to see come to life."

Director Kim Seong-hun also had the same scene in mind saying that it is "a truly tragic but immensely charming scene." He added, "It's tough to talk in detail about the scenes, but I believe that it is a scene that the entire 90 minutes really is running toward, I would say."

Park Byeong-eun, who played the role of Royal Commandery's Min Chi Rok, is also "fond" of the scene writer Kim mentioned, but also cited a particular scene from the trailer where the young Ashin is kneeling before his character.

"It was very special and memorable for me personally because first of all, her (Kim Shi-A) performance was absolutely amazing," Park said. "They thought it was fascinating and I really loved her performance in that particular scene. She gave such a great performance and had such great energy that, in turn, it really provided me and my character a similar energy that they needed to create that scene. I was really able to completely immerse myself in the role of Min Chi-Rok and really think, what would this character do, how would he feel, how would he feel if this little girl is kneeling before him asking these things," the actor added.

Park hopes that that particular scene would also interest the audience and "think about how will the relationship between these two characters change and what kind of stories will they unfold."

And finally, Gianna Jun commented, shooting scenes that "hint" to the fact that her character, Ashin, knows the secret of the resurrection plant, gave her "chills down my spine."

"Every time I was shooting those scenes, I felt like that was really penetrating through the entire Kingdom series. So as a fan myself, I really enjoyed shooting those scenes and I was, I really got chills down my spine in those particular scenes. So those are the most memorable for me," she mused.
