21-year-old sets new world record by solving Rubik’s cube in 3 seconds
A 21-year-old man just set a new world record by solving a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube in 3.13 seconds.
According to the Guinness World Records, Max Park succeeded in his attempt to solve a rotating puzzle cube for the fastest time ever in California, USA on June 11.
With his feat, he beat the record of China’s Yusheng Du at 3.47.
The GWR said Max holds various speedcubing records, including the single solve and average solve world records for the 4x4x4 cube, 5x5x5 cube, 6x6x6 cube, and 7x7x7 cube.
Max, who is part of the autism spectrum, considers playing the Rubik’s cube “good therapy.”
“There was a time when Max couldn’t even open water bottles, but he showed interest in solving Rubik’s cubes,” his parents, Schwan and Miki, said.
He lives by the motto: “Don’t think, just solve.”
