‘Bagong bahay, bagong buhay’: Rabiya Mateo’s ex-boyfriend Neil Salvacion auditions for ‘Pinoy Big Brother’
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo’s former boyfriend Neil Salvacion is trying out his luck as a housemate for the upcoming season of the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
Salvacion revealed his intentions to be a PBB housemate in a one-minute video uploaded on his Kumu page. He was wearing hospital scrubs, seemingly filmed inside a medical center.
The “frontline nurse from Iloilo City” was supposed to work abroad but he chose to remain in the country as a nurse. The opportunity to be a PBB housemate would allow him to share stories about medical frontliners and the pandemic.
“Sa araw-araw na ginawa ng Diyos, ang buhay ko po ay hospital-bahay. Minsan, masisilayan mo ang huling hininga ng mga pasyente. Ito at iba’t ibang hugot sa buhay ang aking maiaambag sa PBB Kumunity, kung paano ang buhay ng isang frontliner,” he said.
Salvacion opened up about the types of heartbreaks he has experienced in this pandemic. He also talked about losing someone he loved due to her “pangarap nitong korona,” seemingly alluding to Mateo competing in the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
He also added: “Nakakalungkot man mag-isolate ng ilang buwan, mas nakakalungkot pala maiwan ka ng taong minamahal mo dahil sa pangarap nitong korona. Coronavirus o korona sa patimpalak ay ilan lamang sa mga hamon sa aking buhay. It’s about time for me to share my story, how I conquered them, and how will I inspire other people.”
The aspiring housemate ended his video by expressing his desire to move forward inside the PBB house. “Bagong bahay, bagong buhay, bagong mga hamon sa buhay,” he said.
Salvacion confirmed his split with Mateo in June 2021, after being in a relationship for over seven years. He was the beauty queen’s first boyfriend.
