Heads up, '90s kids: This new music festival will feature Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, Parokya ni Edgar, Barbie Almalbis, and more
Just when you thought the Christmas season should only be filled with old-time carols, a new music festival is coming to town to add a different type of nostalgic groove to it.
The musical fair, titled "Salo-Salo Fest," is a three-day event where audiophiles can rock out to 90s OPM icons like Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, Parokya ni Edgar, Barbie Almalbis, and more in addition to American artists.
Announced by event organizer Karpos Multimedia on Sept. 13, Salo-Salo Fest will be held on Dec. 2 to 4 at Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It is dubbed the first-ever theme park music festival in the country, having the popular leisure destination as its official venue.
“Make it a magical #PaskongPinoy with your family & barkada at the Philippines’ first ever theme park music festival," Karpos Multimeida wrote on its Facebook post.
Apart from OPM artists, the event will be headlined by American singers Johnny Stimson and Joan. Check out the complete lineup for each day below.
Visitors can gain access to the concert with a one-day pass or a three-day pass. Tickets will officially go on sale at Sept. 15, 10 am, via https://www.tickelo.com/.
Regular one-day passes are priced at P2,500, while three-day passes are available for P5,000. VIP passes, meanwhile, are up for grabs at P4,000. All tickets are inclusive of unlimited rides, while VIP ticket holders are entitled to a VIP kit and use of express lanes.
