Game-developer Rocksteady has released a teaser trailer of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League; the much awaited action-adventure game about society’s baddest misfits going against our favorite DC heroes.

During last weekend’s DC Fandome event, gamers and DC fans alike were treated to a four-minute teaser trailer that gave viewers a first-hand look at DC’s trademark super villain group in action.

This first trailer revolves around a chaotic, open world Metropolis that is under attack by Brainiac. The team of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark a.k.a Task Force X are deployed to investigate and engage the "Alpha Target."

Coerced into action, each Suicide Squad member can then be seen brandishing their distinct weapons: Harley Quinn bashes foes with her baseball bat; Deadshot comes armed with a flame-spitting jetpack and wrist-mounted auto cannons, King Shark has monstrous strength and a huge machine gun, while Captain Boomerang's weapon of choice is his trusty boomerang and a short-barreled shotgun.

After combing through Brainiac's minions, the anti-hero team stumbles into a red-eyed, evil-looking Superman, now revealed to be the Alpha Target, apparently being mind-controlled by Brainiac.

Because Superman is the leader of the Justice League, the game is bound to include Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. They may appear in later trailers, and like the Kryptonian, will be employed by the dark side as well.

Set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series, the new Suicide Squad game has all four anti-heroes as playable characters. It has a 1-4 player Co-op Mode while Single Player mode will allow you to play any of the four, with the rest being controlled by AI.

Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League skips current-gen console release and will be launching on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022.
