'Percy Jackson' publisher set to release Filipina author Tori Tadiar's graphic novel on Philippine mythology
After putting a modern spin on Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology, the publisher of the beloved Percy Jackson series, is venturing into Philippine mythology.
Filipina author Tori Tadiar excitedly announced on social media that one of her graphic novels, Highsummer, will be released by Disney Hyperion in 2024.

Highsummer follows the tale of a 12-year-old girl named Mika, a student from Ilustra Junior High School, who accidentally casts a spell on two of her classmates. As she tries to undo the curse, she awakens ancient gods and a sun-devouring beast. With the mythical beings set loose, Mika must team up with former bullies to save the world.
