Paramount has released the final trailer for A Quiet Place Part II, the much-awaited sequel to actor-director John Krasinski's 2018 horror picture starring his real-life and on-screen wife, Emily Blunt.

Following the deadly events of the first movie, the upcoming sequel will feature the remaining members of the Abbott family and their desperate fight for survival. But as they face the terrors of the outside world, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

The final trailer of A Quiet Place Part II begins with a scene right before the emergence of the sound-sensitive aliens. In the clip, we see Krasinski’s character in several flashback sequences that occurred in the first movie, including the moment Lee realizes that something terrible is about to happen.

The trailer also gives us a glimpse at Evelyn and her children (Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) as they venture into the unknown and later introduces the characters of Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy and Guardians of the Galaxy's Djimon Hounsou.

Directed and written by Krasinski, the sequel to the acclaimed post-apocalyptic movie was supposed to be released in March 2020 but was delayed several times due to the ongoing  coronavirus pandemic. After numerous setbacks, A Quiet Place Part II is now slated to premiere in theaters on May 28 and will be available on Paramount Plus 45 days after its theatrical debut.
