Uniqlo, Cecilie Bahnsen team up for the ultimate frilly-girl fashion collab
If you’ve been looking to add softer and more feminine pieces to your wardrobe, there’s a new fashion collection you might want to keep an eye on.
That’s exactly what Uniqlo is offering through its latest partnership with Danish fashion designer Cecilie Bahnsen, who is the founder of the luxury womenswear label of the same name.
The collaboration brings together the Copenhagen brand’s "signature blend of modern femininity, poetic silhouettes, and craftmanship" with their "focus on simple, thoughtful design and functionality."
"The selection of high-quality garments provides comfort while adding a touch of romance and couture to everyday style," they highlighted.
The collection features a wide array of apparel that empowers feminine appeal. For their t-shirts, you can grab a casual yet chic Graphic T-Shirt for P990, which features relaxed fits and subtle floral cutout designs.
If you want something with a bit more texture, the Frill T-Shirt is available for P1,490 and comes elevated with a beautiful ruffled detail running down the side. There is also the Shirring Volume Sleeve T-Shirt for P1,490, made with recycled materials and boasting puff sleeves paired with an elegant smocked bodice.
Beyond the tees, the collection offers stunning Shirred Skirts. Available for P1,990, the skirt features delicate ruffled layers and a comfortable stretchy waist. You can get it in a classic black-and-white checkered pattern or a bright red.
Rounding out the collection are the dresses. You can get the casual Frill T-Dress with short sleeves for P1,990, which features a pretty ruffled trim down the side.
But if you want a bit more of a classic style, the line also offers a Shirring Sleeveless Dress for P2,990. This piece comes with a textured, stretchy top section and elegant shoulder straps.
With the new collection, Bahnsen hopes that the clothes will "add comfort to the lifestyle of whoever wears them."
"Incorporating design elements that make you fall in love at first sight, these items emphasize ease and breeziness," she said.
"As shown in today’s look, a seemingly dressy item can be made casual if you style it with an everyday T-shirt. It’s good to do something unexpected, like pairing a dress with a bow on it with jeans and riding a bike. These are clothes that make you want to wear them right away, and feel that way for your whole life," she added.
