Why Justin Bieber unfollowed his wife Hailey on Instagram

Justin Bieber has set the record straight on why his wife, Hailey Bieber, was not on his following list on Instagram.

The Ghost singer made headlines on Tuesday night, Jan. 21, when social media users noticed that he was no longer following Hailey on the social media platform.

The move gained mixed reactions from Internet users, with some wondering if the longtime couple had broken up, or if it was just a publicity stunt as Justin recently teased new music.

Justin addressed the issue on Instagram, saying "someone unfollowed" his wife on his page.

“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” Justin wrote in a now-deleted IG story. “Sh*t is getting suss out here.” 

Hailey is also back on his IG following list as of writing.

The couple is currently on vacation in Aspen, Colorado. On Jan. 18, he posted a photo of Hailey with the caption, “The greatest woman I have and will ever know.”  

The two first sparked dating rumors in 2014. They tied the knot in September 2018 after a two-month engagement, and welcomed their first child, Jack Blues, in August 2024.  

The pop star recently gave a rare glimpse of his son in an Instagram carousel post, which included a photo of him holding their little bundle of joy.
