A-list guests, a 'Blank Space' reference, and other stunning details from Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially said “I do,” and the internet is still trying to recover from the moment.
The couple exchanged vows at Madison Square Garden on July 3, transforming the iconic New York arena—better known for concerts and championship games—into an intimate yet star-studded wedding venue.
From surprise details to A-list guests and a setting straight out of a pop culture dream, here are some dreamy details from the pair's nuptials.
As many as 1,000 guests
The guest list reportedly read like a blend of music, sports, and Hollywood royalty, with close friends, family members, and major celebrities filling the seats of Madison Square Garden for the couple’s big day.
According to Variety, Adam Sandler had the privilege of officiating Swift and Kelce's marriage.
"Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler," a press release sent to the news outlet detailed.
Other famous faces who witnessed their love story reach its peak include Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Dakota Johnson, Ethan Hawke, Machine Gun Kelly, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant, Camila Cabello, Selena Gomez, and Benny Blanco.
It also included Reese Witherspoon, Nikki Glaser, Millie Bobby Brown, Joey King, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Lopez, Ice Spice, Eric Stonestreet, Elizabeth Banks, and more.
The guest list reportedly included as many as 1,000 names.
Performers
While Swift is typically the one behind the microphone, this time, she took a step back and let some of her fellow icons from the music industry take the stage.
Good Morning America anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos shared that Stevie Nicks was among the performers at the wedding. The singer-songwriter has been a friend and mentor to Swift for years.
Paul McCartney from The Beatles also added to the lineup of unforgettable performances. Per PEOPLE, the 84-year-old musician sang the band's hit song I Want to Hold Your Hand at the reception.
Wedding looks
Perhaps one of the most anticipated details of the affair was what Swift and Kelce were wearing for the once-in-a-lifetime ceremony.
Variety reported that their wedding looks were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, having been designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections.
"This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride wore Cartier jewelry," the press release said.
Lyric-embroidered handkerchiefs and more dreamy details
If the setting wasn’t already enough to send fans into a frenzy, the smaller touches reportedly made the celebration feel even more personal.
In a picture shared by country music star Maren Morris, it was revealed that the couple gifted guests with an ivory handkerchif embroidered with the lyrics "So it's gonna be forever..." from her 2014 song Blank Space. Along with this are the first initials of the bride and groom.
And as if the day needed one more magical touch, a stunning rainbow appeared in the skies above New York City during the evening of the couple’s wedding.
Photojournalist Gary Hershorn, who took the pictures, noted that "a thunderstorm passed through New York City just before sunset, exiting in time for the sun to create a rainbow and illuminate the skyline" on Friday evening.
