Kai Sotto and Rere Madrid are now married

Basketball star Kai Sotto and actress Rere Madrid are officially married!

Madrid posted about the private ceremony on Wednesday, May 27, which took place at Neri's Secret Garden in Alfonso, Cavite.

"Still feels unreal that we finally get to call this day ours. (Mr & Mrs Sotto)," she captioned her post with ring and heart emojis.

"First, we want to thank God for this wonderful blessing we experienced this year. Even though we went through challenges, misunderstandings, and people who tried to break what we had, we still chose to trust each other. Because of that, our relationship became even stronger, together with the love and support of our families," she added.

Madrid also thanked their families "for being such a big part of this beautiful relationship," saying that seeing them become one "is truly one of the best feelings in the world."

"Now, we’ll continue chasing our dreams together, hand in hand," she continued.

The wedding was attended by the couple's families and a few people close to the them, including Madrid's brother Ruru and girlfriend Bianca Umali. 

Parokya ni Edgar's Chito Miranda, husband to venue owner Neri Naig-Miranda, was also seen serenading the couple and guests at the reception.

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2024, when they appeared publicly as each other's dates at the GMA Gala.
