Guess who’s back? Panaderya Toyo returns after a 3-year hiatus
If you’ve been missing the comforting scent of freshly baked goods—especially their famous Tocino bread, knotted pandesal, Bicho, and Potpot pandesal—you’re in for a treat. Panaderya Toyo is officially back after a three-year hiatus!
The local bakery, which sits under the Toyo Eatery umbrella, surprised fans on Instagram with a major announcement: they are back for good.
"Bulaga! Panaderya Toyo will be open today, May 27, 8:30 A.M.," they wrote.
Still operating out of Karrivin Plaza, the bakery has transformed into a cozy take-away window, making it easier than ever to grab your favorite Filipino bakes on the go.
To celebrate their return, they will be hosting a gathering on May 30 together with local bakers like Ijo Bakery, Rebel Bakehouse, Scratch, and By Sonja for the "ultimate bread rambol."
The event will start at 10 a.m. until supplies last.
Founded in 2017 by the duo behind Toyo Eatery, Jordy and May Navarra, Panaderya Toyo made a name for itself by elevating nostalgic childhood favorites into modern cravings—introducing the metro to game-changers like sourdough pandesal. Back then, it was a sit-down space where diners could relax and enjoy their bakes in-store. However, the bakery quietly went off the radar in 2023.
