Russian vlogger Vitaly deported to Russia
Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has been deported to Russia after being arrested for harassing and disrespecting Filipinos for content.
The Bureau of Immigration confirmed that the 33-year-old boarded an IrAero flight bound for Irkutsk on Saturday, Jan. 17.
The BI's Board of Commissioners issued the deportation order on Dec. 17 after declaring Vitaly an undesirable alien. The directive came after he went viral for being disrespectful toward Filipinos in his Kick videos. In a viral vlog, he can be seen harassing a security guard in Bonifacio Global City, cursing at a masked Filipino woman, stealing an electric fan, and stowing away on a tricycle that soon crashed.
Vitaly admitted to the acts of harassment during the inquest proceedings and was detained at the BI Warden's Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig. His attempt to post bail was denied.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said Zdorovetskiy’s name ís now in the bureau’s blacklist following his deportation.
“The country warmly receives guests from all nations, but respect for our laws is non-negotiable. Those who engage in harassment or disruptive acts undermine public order and will be swiftly sanctioned,” Viado is quoted as saying.
Vitaly was arrested in Pasay City in June.
Prior to this, he had been arrested multiple times for his publicity stunts. In 2016, he was nabbed for illegally climbing the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. In 2020, he was jailed for climbing one of the Pyramids of Giza, and in April of the same year, he was charged with aggravated battery for assaulting a woman who was jogging in Miami.
