TRENDING: Man attends Zoom meeting while riding rollercoaster to test if co-workers would notice
A work-from-home setup can also mean completing your tasks from a café, a park, or even public transport. But one man has gone viral for attending a virtual meeting from a place only a few would dare try: a rollercoaster.
In a viral YouTube video, South Korean office worker Nam Young-sik could be seen in a virtual meeting while speeding through twists and turns on a rollercoaster.
Armed with a MacBook and a cardboard green screen showing a neat home office, Nam attempted to convince colleagues that he was working from home.
“Hey, Nam, do you have a fan blowing right in front of your face or something?” his boss asked after noticing his windblown hair.
“Oh, I just left the window open,” Nam responded. “It’s pretty windy.”
As the ride continued, Nam struggled to maintain his composure as his head shook with the coaster's movements, and the shifting lighting made his face flicker on screen, drawing chuckles and raising further suspicion among his colleagues.
At one point, his screen froze during the ride, prompting his boss to ask what happened.
“My laptop almost fell,” Nam admitted.
“You are definitely not at home right now, right?” his boss said, seeing through the deception.
Nam, still frozen on his video call thumbnail, could then be heard screaming at the top of his lungs before disconnecting from the meeting as the video revealed itself to be an advertisement for a rollercoaster ride.

According to South Korean network Yonhap News TV, the viral YouTube video, which has garnered more than 1.2 million views as of writing, is part of a marketing campaign produced by the Ulsan Nam-gu Gorae Broadcasting Station to promote Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Special Zone.
The park's new ride, the whale kart, is a rollercoaster that runs at a top speed of 40 kilometers per hour.
