P150,000 reward offered for arrest of Miss Philippines Earth 2013 runner-up's killers
The Isabela government is offering a P150,000 reward for vital information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects in the killing of Miss Philippines Earth 2013 runner-up Lullete Jane Ramilo-De Guzman.
Lullete was fatally shot inside a sport utility vehicle on Feb. 13 in Barangay Cabaritan.
Two suspects are now being pursued by authorities.
As investigations continue, Isabela Rep. Faustino Michael Carlos Dy III announced that he is willing to contribute a P50,000 reward to anyone could provide details leading to the gunmen, emphasizing that they "strongly and unequivocally condemn the treacherous killing" of Lullete.
"We call on our law enforcement agencies to seriously pursue this case and ensure that those responsible be held accountable to the full extent of the law. Let us pray for the family and loved ones of Lullete while they undergo their grief and sense of loss," Faustino said.
"We urge everyone to stand against violence and the upholding of the culture of peace, empathy and community," he added.
Isabela Board Member Manuel Faustino “King” Dy later promised an additional P50,000 reward.
"Kasama ninyo kami sa inyong pagdadalamhati at patuloy kaming nananalangin para sa katarungan, kapayapaan, at paghilom ng lahat ng apektado," he wrote in a Facebook post.
San Manuel Mayor Faustino “Dondon” U. Dy IV has also pledged a reward of P50,000, bringing the total to P150,000.
After she was shot, Lullete was rushed to the hospital by her father, but she was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor.
The San Manuel Police Station has initiated investigations into the incident in coordination with Scene of the Crime Operatives. The Isabela Police Provincial Office has also formed a Special Investigation Task Force to conduct a deeper, more coordinated probe into the case.
"Hindi namin hahayaang makaligtas ang mga responsable sa pamamaril na ito. Gagawin natin ang lahat ng hakbang upang matukoy at mahuli ang mga suspek at mabigyan ng hustisya ang biktima at kanyang pamilya," said Manuel Bringas, Provincial Director of the Isabela Police Provincial Office.
Lullete competed in the 2013 edition of Miss Philippines Earth as a representative of San Manuel.
